ANTA Sports Products : Joins UNGC's "Forward Faster" Initiative Demonstrating Commitment to Sustainable Development to the World

(Hong Kong SAR, 20 October, 2023) - ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock codes: 2020 (HKD counter) and 82020 (RMB counter), and its subsidiaries collectively the "Group"), was invited to attend today's United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) "Forward Faster" initiative conference. ANTA Sports is among the first group of Chinese companies to join the "Forward Faster" initiative, taking a leading role in climate action commitments. It is also the only textile and apparel company participating in this initiative. At the conference, Mr. Ivan Lim, Vice President, Group Apparel & Accessories & Gear Sourcing at ANTA Sports, presented the Company's strategic objectives and outstanding achievements in the field of sustainable development through sustainable packaging, energy conservation and carbon reduction and corporate governance.

As one of the pioneering Chinese companies to join the UNGC's 'Forward Faster' initiative, ANTA Sports will continue to lead the industry through innovation and collaboration and actively promote sustainable development across the entire industry value chain, striving to achieve greater breakthroughs in our vision for sustainable development."

Actively boosts use of eco-friendly materials, leading the way in sustainable consumption
Through R&D and technological innovation, ANTA Sports has continuously strived to enhance the utilization of eco-friendly materials. Over 50% of FILA's footwear products use sustainable packaging, and the shoe packaging paper and paper shoe tree of the DESCENTE brand have obtained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certification respectively. ANTA Sports also aims to have 50% of its products embody sustainable development principles by 2023, with products using sustainable packaging and sustainable raw materials.

Improving corporate governance level from top to bottom
In terms of corporate governance, ANTA Sports established a Sustainability Committee to ensure active participation in sustainability issues at the board level. The Company continues to strengthen its corporate governance practices and improve its ESG governance structure. As a signatory member of the UNGC, ANTA Sports adheres to the principle of "Value Creation Through Mutualism", leading the industry, business partners and consumers towards a sustainable future through the core values of "Mutualism with Consumers", "Mutualism with Partners", "Mutualism with Employees", "Mutualism with the Society", and "Mutualism with the Environment".

The "Forward Faster" initiative of the United Nations Global Compact focuses on five major areas: Gender Equality, Climate Action, Living Wages, Water Resilience, and Finance & Investment. The initiative expedites the progress and commitment of businesses towards achieving the sustainable development goals. The "Forward Faster" initiative also aims to increase accountability and transparency by calling for companies to publicly declare their commitments and highlight the actions they will undertake to meet the targets. Companies committing to the targets will be required to report on progress annually to the United Nations Global Compact.
