Aon's top finance executive, Christa Davies, plans to retire next year after more than 16 years with the professional services company.

Aon on Wednesday said Davies will continue to serve as finance chief into the third quarter, after certifying the Dublin-based company's second-quarter results, and then shift to the role of senior adviser into 2025 to assist with the transition.

Aon said it has launched a process to identify a successor to Davies, who joined the company in November 2007 and became chief financial officer in March 2008.

Aon also on Wednesday said its board approved a two-year extension of Chief Executive Greg Case's employment agreement to April 1, 2028.
