Apex Mining Co., Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported revenue was PHP 2,742.69 million compared to PHP 1,907.1 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 898.07 million compared to net loss of PHP 478.87 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.158 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of PHP 0.084 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.158 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of PHP 0.084 a year ago.
For the nine months, revenue was PHP 7,508.67 million compared to PHP 4,993.58 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 2,461.24 million compared to PHP 9.99 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.434 compared to PHP 0.002 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.434 compared to PHP 0.002 a year ago.
Apex Mining Co., Inc. is a Philippines-based company, which is engaged in the business of mining, milling, concentrating, converting, smelting, treating, preparing for the market, manufacturing, buying, selling, exchanging, and otherwise producing and dealing in gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc brass, iron, steel and all kinds of ores, metals and minerals. It operates the Maco Mines in Maco, Davao De Oro. Maco Gold Mine is situated in the municipalities of Maco and Mabini. It holds interests in Monte Oro Resources & Energy, Inc. (MORE), which owns Paracale Gold Ltd., which owns Coral Resources Philippines Inc., which in turn owns a mineral processing plant in Jose Panganiban, in Camarines Norte, and Bulawan Mineral Resources Corporation. It also holds interest in Itogon-Suyoc Resources, Inc., which is a subsidiary of the Company, which consists of the Sangilo Mine in Itogon and the Suyoc Mine in Mankayan, both located in Benguet Province, and the Benit Claim in Labo, Camarines Norte.
