Despite a performance of 10% YTD, the Atmos Energy society’s share, engaged in the distribution of natural gas, could soon exceed the threshold of USD 63.2, close to its historical highs.

Basically, the group has good fundamentals. Sales for 2016 should be around $5 billion, that is to say an increase of 16%. Net earnings per share are steadily rising every year, drawn to USD 3.09 in 2015, and USD 3.30 (+6.4%) expected in 2016. The consensus of analysts covering this share remains in "accumulation position" with an average target price of USD 64.1.

Graphically, the stock rose for several months. He seems able to continue this upward trend with moving averages as support and should soon allow testing the USD 63.2 medium term resistance.

In view of these elements, the breakout of this resistance would entail opening new bullish targets. Thus, active investors can open a trade on current prices with a medium-term target price as USD 67, marking a new high. A stop loss will however be placed below the USD 59.5 support.
