On 30 th November 2019, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) announced the closure of inquiry against Directors/Owners of Azgard Nine Limited, Agritech Limited and others in a letter issued by NAB Lahore. The letter clearly mentioned that all parties nominated in the petition were marked clean and no evidence was found against the accused in the court of law. The case dates back to 2018 when National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had issued notices to Azgard Nine Limited (ANL) and Agritech Limited with respect to manipulation of stock price resulting in financial losses to investors. The companies were tried on criminal breach of trust, cheating public at large and embezzlement of funds. Ali Jehangir Siddiqui, was also called by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for questioning and despite passage of several years, no allegations were substantiated. After the span of 1.5 years NAB Lahore had to dismiss the case on inability to establish the case.
