Baker Steel Resources Trust Limited announced the appointment of John Martyn Falla BSC (HONS) ACA CFCSI as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr. Falla, a resident of Guernsey, is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, has a degree in Property Valuation and Management from City University, London, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, holding their diploma. Mr. Falla qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst and Young in London, before transferring to its Corporate Finance Department, specialising in the valuation of unquoted shares and securities.

On his return to Guernsey in 1996 he worked for an international bank before joining The International Stock Exchange (formerly the Channel Islands Stock Exchange) on its launch in 1998 as a member of the Market Authority. In 2000 Mr. Falla joined the Edmond de Rothschild Group, where he provided corporate finance advice to international clients including open and closed-ended funds, and institutions with significant property interests. He was a director of a number of Edmond de Rothschild operating and investment entities, retiring in 2015.

Mr. Falla has been a non-executive director of London listed companies for over 10 years and is an experienced audit committee chair. He is currently a director and audit committee chair o NB Private Equity Partners Limited and of Marble Point Loan Financing Limited. In 2000 Mr. Falla joined the Edmond de Rothschild Group, where he provided corporate finance advice to international clients including open and closed-ended funds, and institutions with significant property interests.

He was a director of a number of Edmond de Rothschild operating and investment entities, retiring in 2015. Mr. Falla has been a non-executive director of London listed companies for over 10 years and is an experienced audit committee chair. He is currently a director and audit committee chair o NB Private Equity Partners Limited and of Marble Point Loan Financing Limited.

It is anticipated that Mr. Falla will take over as chair of the Company's Audit Committee from David Staples who will be stepping down from the Board, for personal reasons, at the end of the year. He will therefore overlap with Mr. Staples for three months enabling an efficient handover of the role.
