Caixabank Asset Management SGIIC, S.A completed the acquisition of BPI Gestão de Activos, Sociedade Gestora de Fundos de Investimento, S.A. from Banco BPI, S.A.

Caixabank Asset Management SGIIC, S.A signed an agreement to acquire BPI Gestão de Activos, Sociedade Gestora de Fundos de Investimento, S.A. from Banco BPI, S.A. for €75 million on November 23, 2017. In related transactions, Caixabank Asset Management SGIIC, S.A signed an agreement to acquire BPI Global Investment Fund Management Company S.A. from Banco BPI, S.A. for €8 million, VidaCaixa S.A.U. de Seguros y Reaseguros signed an agreement to acquire BPI Vida e Pensões, Companhia de Seguros, S.A. from Banco BPI, S.A. for approximately €140 million and CaixaBank, S.A. (BME:CABK) signed a contract to acquire Trading Research and Corporate Finance business from Banco Portugues de Investimento, S.A. for €4 million on November 23, 2017. The transactions are subject to obtaining the corresponding regulatory authorisations. Banco BPI’s Board of Directors approved the transactions. The transactions will not have an impact on the consolidated balance sheet and results of CaixaBank nor on its capital ratios because they are intragroup transactions. KPMG acted as financial advisor while Campos Ferreira, Sá Carneiro & Associados acted as legal advisor for Banco BPI. Cuatrecasas, Goncalves Pereira. S.L.P. acted as legal advisor to Caixabank Asset Management SGIIC, S.A.
