Bank of Hawaii has announced the promotion of Roger Khlopin as executive vice president. Khlopin and his portfolio management team successfully oversee nearly $8 billion of discretionary fixed income and equity assets for high net worth and institutional clients. Khlopin rejoined Bank of Hawaii in 2016 initially serving as vice president and senior portfolio manager. He was promoted to senior vice president and chief investment officer in 2018. Over a span of 18 years with the bank, he has held various positions within the Investment Services Group, including manager of institutional equity and manager for the Pacific Capital Growth Stock Fund for which he earned Morningstar's high rating of five stars. Khlopin has more than 25 years of broad experience in portfolio management and investment research. He began his career in New York City as a securities research analyst with Sanford Bernstein and later Smith Barney, now known as Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
