Akinori Matsumoto, Representative Director and President and Chinami Kuraishi, Representative Director and Vice-President of BINK Corporation concluded a contract to acquire remaining 99.9% stake in BINK Corporation from Beauty Kadan Co. Ltd (TSE:3041) for ¥75 million on January 20, 2017. Akinori Matsumoto owns 0.1% stake in BINK Corporation. After the transaction, Beauty Kadan Co. Ltd will hold no stake in BINK Corporation. BINK Corporation reported net assets of ¥35 million, total assets of ¥51.12 million, sales of ¥139.76 million, operating profit of ¥1.71 million and net income of ¥1.11 million for the year ending June 30, 2016. The Board of Directors passed a resolution for the transaction on January 20, 2017. The transaction is expected to be completed on January 31, 2017.

Beauty Kadan Holdings Co Ltd, formerly Beauty Kadan Co Ltd, is mainly engaged in flower arrangements business for ceremonial occasions. The Company operates in three business segments. The Ikebana Altar segment is engaged in the production and sale of funeral-related products to funeral-related companies, including funeral services such as flower arrangement altars and offerings. The Ikebana Wholesale segment is engaged in the purchase of products suitable for customer needs, as well as the sale of flowers to funeral-related corporate customers and flower shops. The Bridal Flower Arranging segment is engaged in the production and sale of products for weddings, such as table flowers and bouquets. The Company is also engaged in system development business that sells, commissions, designs, and manufactures various systems, and funeral consulting business provides plan and consulting services for ceremonial occasions, as well as employment continuation support and agriculture business.
