Beijer Tech has today, February 29th 2024, signed an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares in AVS Power Oy, a leading Finnish technical wholesaler and manufacturer of pneumatics, industrial valves and compressors.

AVS is a technical wholesaler and manufacturer of pneumatics, industrial valves and compressors with a well-established global network of high-quality suppliers. Through its technical and manufacturing capabilities, the company can tailor its products based on customers’ needs and preferences. The company is headquartered in Espoo with presence at five additional locations through manufacturing and sales units. AVS generates approximately EUR 13 million in annual revenue with favourable profitability. The company has about 30 employees.

The acquisition is in line with Beijer Alma’s model for value-adding acquisitions and Beijer Tech’s strategy of acquiring profitable companies in attractive niches with good growth potential and high value-add.

Beijer Tech’s President, Staffan Johansson, commented on the transaction: “Through its high quality and flexibility, AVS has built a strong position within its market niche. AVS has been active in this business for more than four decades and has built a strong position in the attractive industrial valves and pneumatics market. The company is a good complement to our existing valves company, PA Ventiler, and marks an expansion of our valves offering to the Finnish market. I am excited to see what the two companies can achieve by learning from, and cooperating with, each other.”

AVS’ Sales Director, Matti Hietikko, also commented on the transaction: “I am excited to welcome Beijer Tech as AVS’ new owner. Given Beijer Tech’s long-term perspective and experience from similar companies, I am certain that they will be the ideal owner for AVS’ long-term development. I would also like to thank our previous owner, Antero Parma, who has built this company to what it is today.”

In the transaction, Beijer Tech will acquire 100 percent of the shares in AVS Power Oy with closing expected during the first quarter 2024. As a part of the transaction, operational assets have been transferred to AVS Power Oy from the previous parent company AVS-Yhtiöt Oy. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Beijer Alma’s earnings per share.
