DATE OF BOARD MEETING

The board of directors (the "Board") of Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings) Limited (the "Company") announces that a meeting of the Board will be held on Thursday, 17 September 2020 at 33/F, 118 Connaught Road West, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, for the purpose of approving the announcement of interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2017 of the Company and its subsidiaries and considering the payment of interim dividend, if applicable.

CONTINUED SUSPENSION OF TRADING

Trading in the Company's shares on the Stock Exchange has been suspended since 3 October 2017 pending the publication of the Outstanding Financial Results, and will remain suspended until further notice. The Company will make further announcement(s) as and when appropriate.
