"Brightoil has already fully settled all their debt ... and we have no court case with them," Simon Szeto, managing director at Sea Trader, said in an e-mail.

Court documents showed last week that Sea Trader had sued Brightoil Petroleum Holdings Ltd's Singapore subsidiary for nearly $1 million for the sale of goods.

Sea Trader assists bunker fuel buyers in purchasing fuel, lubricants and petroleum cargoes, according to its website.

Other creditors that have made claims against Brightoil include the Singapore unit of Vietnam's top fuel importer Petrolimex and Qatar National Bank.
