FOURTH QUARTER REPORT

1. Introduction

The Report has been prepared in accordance with Article 100o, par. 4, item 2 of the Law on public offering of the securities and provides information on the development of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange Group (BSE, the Exchange), the shareholders' structure, the Exchange members, as well as financial information.

The Report presents the achievements of the Exchange during the fourth quarter of 2022, considering the key performance indicators, accompanied by relevant analyses and conclusions. The major trends in the development of the capital market have been outlined, as well as the main risks and uncertainties the Bulgarian Stock Exchange Group faces.

2.1. Turnover, number of trades

2.1.1. Turnover

The turnover of the markets organized by the BSE in the fourth quarter of 2022 was BGN 313 002 271. For comparison, in the fourth quarter of 2021 it was BGN 434 333 665, which represents a drop of 28%. This is mainly due to the decrease in the turnover of the Main market by 39%, as well as of the growth market beam by 34%. A growth of 228% is observed on MTF BSE International and 142% on Alternative Market. The lowest turnover is in October: BGN 63 million, and the highest - in November: BGN 162 million.

2.1.2. Number of trades

The number of trаdes on the markets organized by the BSE in the fourth quarter of 2022 reached 18 694. For comparison, in the fourth quarter of 2021 it was 30 041, representing a decrease of 38%. This is mainly due to a decrease in the number of transactions on the Main market by 45%, as well as on the beam market by 55%. Increases in trades are observed on the MTF BSE International market (by 114%), as well as on the Alternative market (by 74%). The number of transactions is highest in November: 7 033, and lowest in December: 5 112 transactions.

2.2. Branch Structure of Trading

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the "Financial and insurance activities" sector traditionally has the highest achieved result of BGN 114 million (4Q'21 - BGN 92 million) in the ranking and forms 43% of the total turnover. As can be seen from the table below, next in the ranking are the Manufacturing industry sector, forming 35% and the Real Estate Activities sector with a 16% share of the total turnover for the quarter.

Sector "Professional, scientific and technical activities" is in the fourth place in the ranking with a turnover of BGN 6 million and 2% of the total turnover.

In fifth place in the ranking is the sector "Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles" with a turnover of BGN 3 million and a share of 1% of the total turnover.
