Bureau Veritas announces that it has acquired approximately 3.69 million of its own shares (around 0.8% of its capital) for a total amount of around 100 million euros under the accelerated disposal procedure initiated by Wendel.

In this transaction, Wendel sold a total of around 40.5 million Bureau Veritas shares, representing around 9% of the capital, and the Lac1 fund, managed by Bpifrance, took a stake of around 4%, thus becoming a new reference investor.

It is agreed that the Board of Directors will propose the appointment of Bpifrance as an independent director in accordance with the rules of parity or, if such an appointment cannot be made immediately, as a non-voting director.

In accordance with the purpose of the share buyback program, the shares bought back will be used for cancellation and for other purposes authorized by Bureau Veritas shareholders at the AGM on June 22.
