(Alliance News) - Buzzi Spa announced Thursday that Massimo Toso, current president and CEO of Buzzi Unicem USA, has been elected president of PCA, a U.S. association that promotes the use of cement and concrete not only in the U.S. but also internationally in partnership with other organizations in the same industry.

Within this organization, the company note says, Massimo Toso served as vice president in 2023.

One of PCA's goals is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, defining the roadmap as a comprehensive strategy for the cement, concrete and construction industry to achieve this ambitious goal.

In this regard, PCA's new board chairman, Toso, said, "As I assume the role of chairman at this crucial time, let our leadership come together in a shared commitment. Together, as the cement industry, we need to confirm our goal, to be part of the carbon reduction program set out in PCA's Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality, and to be sure that cement and concrete will remain the most resilient and sustainable building materials on the market."

Buzzi closed Thursday in the green by 0.4 percent to EUR29.70 per share.
