Catella AB (publ) (OM:CAT B) entered into an agreement to acquire 60% stake in Aquila Asset Management SAS for approximately ?10.6 million on June 2, 2023. The purchase price includes approximately ?9.6 million initial consideration and an additional purchase price of approximately ?1 million could be paid if certain criteria are met. The shares are acquired from local management who will remain minority shareholders. The acquisition is financed by Catella?s own capital. Closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Closing of the transaction is expected during the second half of 2023. Jean-Philippe Jacob, Julien Brouwer from Yards Avocats acted as legal advisors to Aquila Asset Management. Marc Petitier and Laure Bauduret from White & Case LLP (Paris) acted as legal advisor to Catella AB (publ) (OM:CAT B). Jonathan Jacquin, Julien Beraud, Victor Auguin-Rougier, Etienne Ceccaldi from Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance acted as financial advisors to Aquila Asset Management in the transaction.
