CBA opened on June 15 a store in Veliko Tarnovo, its seventh in the northern town, CBA Asset Management. The supermarket has a retail space of 450 square metres. CBA has over 170 stores, most of which are located in northern Bulgaria.

The chain recently went through a merger of the two big groups operating under the CBA brand - Veliko Tarnovo-based CBA Franchise, a subsidiary of CBA Asset Management, and CBA EAD, based in northern Varna and owned by CBA Investment. They merged their businesses in late May to pool together their operations in central and northern Bulgaria. The company mulls expansion in the rest of the country and its strategy for 2013 projects the launching of 10 stores, two of which in the capital Sofia.
