Cementos Molins Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Half Year Ended June 30 2017

Cementos Molins reported consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and half year ended June 30 2017. For the quarter, the company reported turnover of EUR 160.4 million compared to EUR 135.1 million a year ago Operating results were EUR 16.4 million compared to EUR 9.0 million a year ago. Results before tax were EUR 35.8 million compared to EUR 29.3 million a year ago. Net consolidated result were EUR 21.8 million compared to EUR 20.1 million a year ago.
For the half year, the company reported income of EUR 392.5 million compared to EUR 332.2 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 99.1 million compared to EUR 82.5 million a year ago. EBIT was EUR 73.4 million compared to EUR 57.9 million a year ago. Results before tax was EUR 67.1 million compared to EUR 54.6 million a year ago. Net consolidated result was EUR 42.3 million compared to EUR 35.4 million a year ago. Operating results were EUR 33.4 million compared to EIR 19.1 million a year ago.
Cementos Molins SA is a Spain-based company engaged in the production, distribution and sale of cements, lime and gypsum, as well as other related construction materials. The Company is also involved in the exploitation of quarries and deposits of clay, limestone and gypsum. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Cementos Molins Industrial SAU, Promotora Mediterranea-2 SA, Prefabricaciones y Contratas SAU, Propamsa SAU, Cemolins Internacional SL, Portcemen SA and Minus Inversora SA, among others. In addition, Noumea SA was the Companyâs major shareholder with 32.09% of its interest.
