Barclays has reaffirmed its 'overweight' recommendation on Centrica, while lowering its target price from 205 to 190 pence, in the wake of EPS estimates for the British electric utility cut from 18.9 to 18.2 pence for 2024 and from 17.2 to 16.1 pence for 2025.

"Centrica has been one of the worst performers on the SX6P since the start of the year, and we see a turnaround with the recovery in gas prices, resilience in EPS, clarity on capex and the extension of share buybacks", however, judges the broker.
