Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 20,500.435 million compared to TWD 20,999.056 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 418.046 million compared to TWD 93.856 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 416.840 million compared to TWD 193.602 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.86 compared to TWD 0.4 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 36,511.719 million compared to TWD 40,246.702 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 258.094 million compared to TWD 115.568 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 437.657 million compared to TWD 291.162 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.9 compared to TWD 0.6 a year ago.
Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sales of connectors. The Company's primary products include cable connectors, which are applied in universal serial bus (USB) connecting wires, connecting wires for game devices, digital cameras, mobile phones and data cables; communication connectors, which are applied in mobile phones, network peripheral devices, game consoles and other consumer electronics; battery modules, which are applied in mobile phones, notebook computers and other portable electronics; power management modules, as well as memory models. The Company is also involved in the retail business. The Company distributes its products in domestic and overseas markets.
