Cherkizovo : connects with international businesses at Gulfood 2023

Dubai, UAE - March 2 - Cherkizovo Group, Russia's largest meat producer, has taken part in Gulfood 2023, an international exhibition held in Dubai (UAE). During the event, the Company held over 100 meetings to discuss the expansion of its meat, soybean oil and lecithin exports.

Between February 20 and 24, the Dubai World Trade Center played host to the 28th international food, drink and hospitality industry equipment exhibition of the Persian Gulf - Gulfood 2023. More than 5 thousand companies from 125 countries joined the event, including 75 Russian players showcasing their products at an 800+ sq m national stand.

In what has become an annual tradition, Cherkizovo Group participated in Gulfood 2023 displaying its halal Dajajti chicken and Pava-Pava turkey products. Among the Company's stand visitors was Abdulla Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy, who gave high praise to Cherkizovo's export offering.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Cherkizovo's managers held over 100 meetings with companies such as AJC Foods, Reel Shipping, Azersun Holding, Americana Foods and many more. The discussions centered around the expansion of the Company's export footprint and search for better logistics solutions.

"Gulfood 2023 featured an unprecedented number of exhibitors and visitors from all around the world. This remarkable turnout was due to the lingering isolation of the business community caused by the COVID - 19 pandemic, as well as the shift of the global agricultural trade's gravity center to the East, closer to major consumer markets. Along with the Persian Gulf nations, there is now a growing interest in our products among the countries of Africa, and Central and Southeast Asia," said Natalia Bartnovskaya, Head of Export Development at Trading Company Cherkizovo.

Apart from meat sales, Cherkizovo Group used this year's Gulfood to negotiate the export of products made at its own oil extraction plant launched in Russia's Lipetsk Region last summer. Soybean oil and lecithin offered by the plant may be of interest to confectionery producers, in particular.
