Cherkizovo Group, Russia's largest meat producer, has opened a broiler chicken facility in the Lebedyansky District of the Lipetsk Region. This will enable the Company to increase its chicken meat production in the region by about 10% in 2024.

The broiler chicken farm in the Lebedyansky District, which Cherkizovo Group opened in October, used to function as a parent stock site. The facility consists of 32 buildings with a total area of 33,000 sq. m, with over RUB 400 million invested in its reconstruction, including the renovation of feeding, watering, ventilation systems, and staff changing rooms. The Company decided to repurpose the site due to its plans to ramp up broiler meat production.

Cherkizovo Group is the Lipetsk Region's largest producer of broilers with 120,900 tonnes of live weight or 60.3% of total poultry production in the region. After the launch of additional breeding sites, the Company will bolster its broiler output by 12,000 tonnes per year. With poultry farms in other Russian regions, Cherkizovo can produce more than 1 million tonnes of broiler meat per year.

The Lipetsk Region is of strategic importance for Cherkizovo Group. The Company is also the leading pork and feed producer locally, has a significant share in the processed meat product market, and operates a land bank of 61,000 ha (on which soybeans, wheat, sunflower, corn, and rapeseed are cultivated). In addition, Cherkizovo owns one of the country's largest oil extraction plants in Yelets, which produces soybean meal, oil, and lecithin. The Group currently employs some 4,000 residents of the Lipetsk Region.
