China Digital TV Holding Co., Ltd. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company's total revenues were $18.131 million compared with $29.8 million a year ago. Income from operations was $2.721 million against $11.9 million in the prior year period. Net income attributable to holders of ordinary shares was $2.3 million or $0.04 per basic and diluted share, as compared to a $10.94 million or $0.18 per basic and diluted share in the prior year period. The decrease was primarily due to a decrease in revenues from the sales of smart cards caused by the general market decline of the mature CA business, as well as a decline in the ASP of smart cards. Income from operations was $2.133 million, as compared to $21.22 million in the prior year period. Net income attributable to holders of ordinary shares was $1.53 million or $0.02 per diluted share, as compared to $20.9 million or $0.34 per diluted share in the prior year period. Net revenues were $52.9 million compared with $81.533 million a year ago. Income before income taxes was $5.1 million compared with $25.6 million a year ago.

Based on information available as of March 3, 2016, the company expects smart card shipment volumes in the first quarter of 2016 to be in the range of 2.7 million to 3.0 million. Net revenues in the first quarter of 2016 are expected to be in the range of $12.1 million to $13.3 million.
