ANNOUNCEMENT

INSIDE INFORMATION

The announcement is made by China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the provisions of inside information under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company and potential investors that, after preliminary assessment, the Company is expected to record a profit ranging from RMB750 million to RMB850 million in the unaudited net profit attributable to owners of the parent company for the three months ended 31 March 2021, which will be significantly higher than the net profit attributable to owners of the parent company for the corresponding period ended 31 March 2020. This is primarily due to the significant increase in business profit as compared with the same period last year caused by (1) the increase in profit of construction and contracting business; (2) the resumption of normal production and operation of expressway and cement business.

The information contained in this announcement is only a preliminary assessment by the Board based on the information currently available to the Company, and is not based on any data or information which is audited or reviewed by the auditors of the Company.

The financial results of the Company for the three months ended 31 March 2021 prepared under the generally accepted accounting principles of the People's Republic of China will be published at the end of April 2021.
