SUPERCRITICAL COAL-FIRED POWER PLANT CONSTRUCTED BY A SUBSIDIARY OF THE COMPANY WAS PUT INTO FULL OPERATION

This announcement is made by China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (the "Company") on a voluntary basis.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce that, recently, China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (中國能源建設集團 廣東省電力設計研究院有限公司), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Planning & Engineering Co., Ltd. (中國能源建設集團規劃設計有限公司) (a subsidiary of the Company), was

engaged in survey and design; China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Thermal Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (中國能源建設集團廣東火電工程有限公司), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Southern Construction and Investment Co., Ltd. (中國能源建設集團南方建設投

資有限公司) (a subsidiary of the Company), was responsible for the general contracting of the

construction and installation; China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (中國能源建設集團廣東電力工程局有限公司), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Southern Construction and Investment Co., Ltd. (中國能源建設集團南 方建設投資有限公司) (a subsidiary of the Company), was responsible for the civil construction of Unit 6 of the Guangdong Yangxi Power Plant (廣東陽西電廠 ) Units 5 and 6 (2×1240MW) project

(the "Project"), which successfully completed a 168-hour trial run under full load and was put into full operation.

The Project is located in Xitou Town, Southern Yangxi County, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. It was understood that the Project was a 1,240MW highly efficient ultra supercritical coal- fired unit with the largest single shaft full speed single unit capacity, the highest steam parameters, the lowest coal consumption per unit of power generation and the lowest pollution discharge per unit among the units put into operation in China. It was a green thermal power benchmark demonstration project.
