CHINA SHENHUA ENERGY COMPANY LIMITED On March 1, 2024, the "Green Shipping Industry Promotion Conference and Inaugural Ceremony of Green Shipping Industry (Shanghai) Alliance" was held in China (Shanghai) Free Trade Pilot Zone. CHN Energy Shipping Company joined Green Shipping Industry (Shanghai) Alliance as a founding member.
At signing ceremony for the establishment of the Alliance, proposal on extensive application of green new energy in shipping industry was made, along with the release of technical standards and safety supervision norms, including Global Green Methanol Project Research Report, Regulations for Marine Methanol Fuel Refueling, Hydrogen-based Green Fuel Evaluation Methods and Requirements, Emission Reduction Assessment Model of Green Methanol Industry Chain and Safety Management Measures for Aquatic Methanol Fuel Refueling Operation. In addition, methanol refueling qualification licenses were issued to pilot enterprises.
As an industry-leader in China, CHN Energy Shipping Company earnestly plays a demonstrating role of a central SOE in steering and pushing forward green and low-carbon transformation and development. In the future, CHN Energy Shipping Company will vigorously endeavor to outreach the new green energy application in shipping industry and boost green, low-carbon and sustainable development throughout the entire life cycle of shipping industry.
