(Alliance News) - Circle Spa announced Wednesday that it has been awarded, through its subsidiary Magellan Circle, the Clarion project on safe and resilient transportation and intelligent mobility services for passengers and freight.

Funded under the Horizon program and with a total budget of about EUR7 million, Clarion is worth EUR280,000 to Circle during 47 months of implementation.

Clarion brings together 21 partners from 10 different EU countries and combines a strong multidisciplinary team with research-related profiles, technical and commercial professionals, including four ports with river connections-the top three in Europe in terms of container traffic, namely Rotterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg in the North Sea-and Constanza.

Magellan Circle will be responsible for developing Clarion's communication strategy, ensuring that it is updated throughout the project's lifecycle.

"Clarion is an important achievement because it is fully in line with our Connect 4 Agile Growth strategy, which, in particular, aims to broaden the group's themes and expertise; in this case, we are going to study and analyze port resilience together with the three main European ports of call - Rotterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg - which are all partners in the project," said Alexio Picco, president of Magellan Circle.
