Grants awarded to 22 non-profit organizations in the Greater Mankato area
MANKATO, Minn. - - The Consolidated Communications Community Fund of the Mankato Area Foundation is awarding $150,000 in grants to 22 local non-profit organizations across the Greater Mankato area. Consolidated's Community Fund focuses its support on local programs that meet critical community needs, such as hunger and homelessness, along with initiatives that provide opportunities for innovative education and learning.
Consolidated's 2024 Grants are being awarded to the following organizations:
Minnesota State University, Mankato - scholarships; $15,000
Committee Against Domestic Abuse - direct assistance for victims; $10,000
Connections Ministry - shelter operations; $10,000
ECHO Food Shelf - dairy products for children; $10,000
Feeding Our Communities Partners - BackPack and Power Pack Food Programs; $10,000
Junior Achievement of Greater Mankato Area - Entrepreneurial JA Company Program; $10,000
Partners for Housing - Emergency Shelter Program; $10,000
South Central College - scholarships; $10,000
VINE - PEARLS mental health initiative; $10,000
Educare Foundation - Ed Waltman Mini-Grants; $7,500
American Red Cross - disaster recovery services; $5,000
Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota - STEAM programming; $5,000
Goodwill - career exploration using virtual reality; $5,000
Jonathan Zierdt Cancer Fund - Caring Box Program; $5,000
Lake Crystal Recreation Center - Fit Kids Program and senior lunch and learns; $5,000
Life-Work Planning Center - Women in Transition Program; $5,000
MRCI - community-based day service programming; $5,000
Lasting Imprint - congenital heart defect kits; $4,000
Footnotes Trauma Foundation - care for veterans and abuse victims; $2,500
Living Earth Center - youth gardening initiative; $2,500
Bethlehem Inn of Waseca - transitional housing for women; $2,000
Twin Valley Council Boy Scouts of America - handbooks for new scouts; $1,500

Consolidated's Community Fund grants are awarded on an annual basis through a grant application process, administered by the Mankato Area Foundation.
