Einstein Bros. and Cuisine Solutions have created gluten-free Eggels, available Sept. 17 on Einstein menus across the country — excluding airport, hotels and university locations. The bagel-shaped sous-vide eggs are made with cage-free eggs and come in two flavors:

  • Three Meat & Cheese: Made with all-natural nitrate-free bacon, turkey sausage and uncured ham, paired with white cheddar cheese and everything bagel seasoning.
  • Veggie Egg White: This vegetarian option includes bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, portobello mushrooms and spinach with asiago cheese.

"We were thrilled to take our sous vide recipe and combine it with the signature bagel shape, something never done before," Jean Rodolphe Vilgrain, VP of sales at Cuisine Solutions, said in a company press release. "We couldn't be more proud of the quality and taste of Eggels. It will be a great high-protein, gluten-free addition to the Einstein Bros. Bagels menu."

Einstein's Bros. Bagels is always looking to provide guests innovative breakfast options, said chef Chad Thompson, head of culinary innovation at Einstein Bros. Bagels.

"There's truly something for everyone on the menu," he said in the release.

Einstein Bros.is part of the Bagel Brands family, which owns Bruegger's Bagels, Noah's New York Bagels and Manhattan Bagel. Einstein Bros. has more than 700 locations in 40 states and the District of Columbia.

Cuisine Solutions is a manufacturer and distributor of sous vide foods, which are vacuum-sealed and fully cooked to eliminate unnecessary handling.
