in the MSCI ESG Rating

As of December 2022, Daiwa Securities Group Inc. received an MSCI ESG Rating of "AAA" for the first time. Our initiatives have received high marks, especially in the area of "Financing Environmental Impact", "Responsible Investment", and "Corporate Behavior".

MSCI ESG ratings analyze the degree to which a company is managing its ESG risks and grade it on a 7-point scale from the highest AAA rating to the lowest CCC rating.

Also, we are included in MSCI's ESG stock indices, "MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index" and "MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)".
