Blue Cross Park to feature renewed visual experience on game day

BROOKINGS, S.D. - - Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has continued a partnership with the Winnipeg Goldeyes to design, manufacture and install a new video display at Blue Cross Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The technology will be an upgrade and replacement of the Daktronics product that was installed in 2006. Installation of this refresh is expected to be completed this spring.

"The Goldeyes are thrilled to once again team up with an industry leader like Daktronics for our new video board," said Regan Katz, Goldeyes vice president and chief operating officer. "Our fans have come to expect the best and we believe that's what we will deliver with our new display."

Video Display Details

The new video display will measure nearly 40 feet high by 54 feet wide and will feature a 10-millimeter pixel spacing for crisp, vibrant imagery at wide-angle visibility ensuring a great view to fans throughout the ballpark. It also features industry-leading environmental protection for optimal operation in the Manitoba weather.

"We're proud to have been a part of the game-day entertainment at Blue Cross Park since their first season at this ballpark in 1999 and are equally excited as we continue to be a part of the exciting atmosphere going forward," said Joey Hulsebus, Daktronics sales representative. "The American Association has made great efforts to grow the league and continue to upgrade the technology and entertainment value for their fans as evidenced by this latest upgrade."

The video display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or multiple zones of content with the right mix to keep audiences informed and engaged in the live action on the field. The content can be live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations, or sponsorship messages.
