Kalban: Smart Sustainability is the priority for Dubai Investments, subsidiaries

As part of its continuous efforts and initiatives to implement sustainable strategies, Dubai Investments PJSC [DFM: DIC], the leading, diversified investment company listed on the Dubai Financial Market, organised a training session for 'Sustainability Champions' from Dubai Investments and its subsidiaries under the theme 'For a better partnership within the Dubai Investments family.'

The session served as internal training and orientation program for Dubai Investments and its subsidiaries and discussed various concepts of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and innovation. The aim of the session was to realise the shared benefits of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 initiative, linking society, environment, companies and employees to further the UAE Vision 2021 and fulfil the objectives of the UAE's 'Year of Giving' initiative for 2017.

A total of 16 'Sustainability Champions' took part in the orientation session, which included employees from Dubai Investments, Dubai Investments Park, Dubai Investments Industries, Masharie, Dubai Investments Real Estate Company, Emicool, Emirates Float Glass, Lumiglass Industries, Al Taif Investment, TechSource and Emirates Extruded Polystyrene.

Khalid bin Kalban, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Investments, said: 'Dubai Investments is committed to the cause of sustainability across its operations, performance and projects. The Company has always implemented industry-best standards in the domain and also issued a new strategy for Smart Sustainability that recognises specific objectives for sustainable initiatives in the country in line with government's vision.'
