On Monday, Berenberg renewed its 'hold' recommendation and its two-euro target on OL Groupe shares, expressing concern about a possible absence of the Rhone-based club from the next Champions League.

With OL currently in last place in the Ligue 1 standings, the intermediary points out that the group's long-term strategy is based on regular participation in the prestigious soccer tournament, due to the significant revenues it generates for participants.

In his note, the analyst stresses that the club is currently surviving thanks to funds raised from CVC Capital Partners, but that this source of financing will dry up from next season onwards, leading him to post a cautious opinion on the share.
