Eaton Vance California Municipal Bond Fund II (the Fund) is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from regular federal income tax, including alternative minimum tax, and in state specific funds, taxes in its specified state. The Fund invests primarily in debt securities issued by California municipalities. The Fund invests in various sectors, such as education, electric utilities, escrowed or pre-refunded, general obligations, hospital, insured-education, insured-electric utilities, insured-escrowed or pre-refunded, insured-general obligations, insured-hospital, transportation, insured-lease revenue or certificates of participation, insured-special tax revenue, lease revenue or certificates of participation, special tax revenue, and water and sewer.
