In the session of April 5, 2024, attorney Guillermo Garcia Realpe was appointed as the new president of Ecopetrol's Board of Directors.

Garcia Realpe is a specialist in Socioeconomic Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

He currently works as an advisor and consultant on environmental and regional development issues, held the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, was Senator of the Republic and Advisor to the National Planning Department.

Attorney Monica de Greiff Lindo, Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Universidad del Rosario de Bogota and specialist in Administrative Law, has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, where she has held different positions, was appointed to the vice-presidency of the Board. He has been a member of Ecopetrol's Board of Directors since October 2022.

At the end of the session, the new Board of Directors said: 'We are committed to working with the necessary criteria and rigor, to continue recognizing the contribution that the business of all energy represents for the country's economy, including hydrocarbons, we will be unconditional workers of Ecopetrol in the construction and fulfillment of the goals and projects of the roadmap of the just energy transition, clean and equitable, a task that we will carry out within the framework of the principles of the defense of life and human rights, ethics and business transparency and open and permanent dialogue with all our stakeholders.'

The Board Committees were composed as follows

The Audit and Risk Committee was composed of Luis Alberto Zuleta Jaramillo (chair), Alvaro Torres Macias, Guillermo Garcia Realpe, Angela Maria Robledo Gomez and Juan Jose Echavarria Soto.

The Business Committee will include: Monica de Greiff Lindo (president), Alvaro Torres Macias, Gonzalo Hernandez Jimenez, Edwin Palma Egea and Luis Alberto Zuleta Jaramillo.

Juan Jose Echavarria Soto (chairman), Monica de Greiff Lindo, Gonzalo Hernandez Jimenez, Luis Alberto Zuleta Jaramillo and Angela Maria Robledo Gomez were appointed to the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee.

On the Compensation, Nomination and Culture Committee will be Monica de Greiff Lindo (president), Guillermo Garcia Realpe, Juan Jose Echavarria Soto, Tatiana Roa Avendano and Edwin Palma Egea.

The HSE Committee was made up of Angela Maria Robledo Gomez (president), Tatiana Roa Avendano, Edwin Palma Egea, Monica de Greiff Lindo and Guillermo Garcia Realpe.

And finally, the Technology and Innovation Committee will be made up of Alvaro Torres (president), Tatiana Roa Avendano and Guillermo Garcia Realpe.

Changes in senior management

This Friday, three new changes in Ecopetrol's senior management were also announced. Ana Milena Lopez, who had been serving as Corporate Vice President of Finance and Sustainable Value, submitted her voluntary resignation from the position, which was accepted as of April 12, 2024. Maria Catalina Escobar Hoyos, current Value Maximization Manager, will be in charge of this Vice Presidency as of April 13, 2024.

Luz Elena Diaz, Corporate Vice President of Compliance, will serve until April 19, 2024, by mutual agreement. Alberto Vergara Monterrosa, current Corporate Manager of Ethics and Compliance of the Corporate Vice Presidency of Compliance, will be in charge of the Vice Presidency as of April 20, 2024.

In addition, Juan Diego Puerta, who served as Vice President of Exploration, will be replaced as of today by Ivan Camilo Higuera, current manager of Onshore.
