Elecnor wins the contract for the construction, operation and maintenance of a power transmission line in Brazil, representing an investment of EUR 213 million
Celeo Redes Brasil, a company part-owned by the Elecnor Group, has been awarded

Celeo Redes Brasil, a company part-owned by the Elecnor Group, won Lot 3 in Transmission Tender nº 2/2023 conducted by ANEEL on Friday 15 December, involving an associated investment valued at EUR 213 million. The project, which includes a 500 kV transmission line of 388 km in length and a single circuit configuration with 4 conductors per phase, will have over 825 towers and will connect the Marimbondo 2 (Minas Gerais) and Campinas (Sao Paulo) substations.

Elecnor Do Brasil will be responsible for executing the project in EPC or 'turnkey' mode, including the extension of the two substations. The line will help to expand the regional interconnections and export capacity in the northern and north-eastern regions. It is foreseen that construction will take 36 months and will create 2,058 direct jobs.

Elecnor and APG, through Celeo, currently operate 6,144 km of electricity transmission lines in Chile, Brazil and Peru. Furthermore, they participate in renewable energy projects (photovoltaic and solar) with an installed capacity of 390 Megawatts (MW) in Spain and Brazil. The combination of assets in operation that the company manages represents about EUR 4,857 million at the end of the year.

Celeo Redes manages 7,940 km of lines with a transformation capacity of 14,419 MVA. Of this total, 1,796 km are under construction.
