On September 19, 2019, EMC Insurance Group Inc. announced that it has entered into a merger agreement with Employers Mutual Casualty Company and the Company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Employers Mutual Casualty Company. The merger agreement was adopted by the shareholders of the Company at a special meeting of the shareholders held on September 18, 2019.
