Enel Distribución Perú S.A.A. announced earnings results for the year 2016. For the year, the company reported revenues of PEN 2,901 million, EBITDA of PEN 705 million, net income of PEN 309 million, capex of PEN 416 million compared to revenue of PEN 2,716 million, EBITDA of PEN 667 million, net income of PEN 309 million, capex of PEN 478 million for the previous year. As on date, the company's net debt was PEN 1,287 million. Revenues were increased 6.8% due to higher sales, mainly resulting from an increase in the customer base and in customer services. EBITDA was increased 5.6% as the increase of revenues offset that of costs. Net income in line with previous year, despite the increase in EBITDA, due to the multi-year provisions related to the income tax rate increase to 29.5% from 28%. Capex investments were mainly focused on meeting customer demand, developing and strengthening the company's networks, and ensuring safety of the infrastructure and quality of service.
