EL5-ENERGO PUBLISHES OPERATING RESULTS FOR THE 4Q AND 2022 FULL YEAR
Moscow, February 02, 2023 - PJSC EL5-Energo published its operating results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2022.
In 2022 gross power production and net power output decreased by approximately 4% y-o-y due to the following factors:
- A high base of 2021, when the company increased its net power output by 18% y-o-y on the backdrop of a significant growth of electricity consumption due to the recovery of economic activity after the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, as well as favorable weather conditions.
- Reduction of conventional units load by the System operator, mainly at Konakovskaya GRES, in the context of y-o-y stagnation in electricity consumption in Central Russia, as well as a significant increase of nuclear power plants output in 2022 compared to 2021.
The abovementioned factors were partly offset by an increase in power production and net power output of the company's wind farms on the backdrop of the Azovskaya wind power plant load throughout 2022 full year (compared to 8 months in 2021), as well as the commissioning of the first stage (170 MW) of the Kolskaya wind farm in December 2022.

Heat sales in 2022 remained practically unchanged y-o-y. The positive dynamics of the 4Q against the backdrop of lower temperatures compared to the average figures offset the negative dynamics of the first three quarters of 2022.
