EnviTec Biogas : develops its own visualized control system with web technology

Lohne/Saerbeck, 2 November 2023 User-friendly, clear and secure: the EnviTec Remote app from biogas all-rounder EnviTec Biogas AG from Lower Saxony is already running reliably via router on over 42 biogas and biogas upgrading plants in Germany. Now, "BiogazN" in the French community of Thenelles has been added as the first plant with the new secure access, including in-house visualization and control! "With our newly developed EnviTec Remote app, customers can control their plant from any location via smartphone and, for example, change agitator intervals or simply check the gas pressure or feed quantity," explains Jürgen Tenbrink, CTO of the company based in Saerbeck and Lohne.

In 2022, the biogas all-rounder founded a separate department for engineering. The customer particularly appreciates the work of the six-member process automation team because of its ease of use. "Our new customized visualization solution and our EnviTec Remote app both work very easily on any device and any browser. Moreover, they offer situation-dependent error diagnostics in addition to log retrieval and feeding settings," says Bernd Schürmann, Head of the Process Automation Department at EnviTec Biogas. The intuitive operation of the app supports users and plant operators in their daily operations by providing detailed user instructions. This makes the EnviTec app, including the visualization system, a trailblazer on the market. "This is where we benefit from our extensive know-how as a plant manufacturer. In addition to diagnostics, we can also provide immediate assistance on whatever needs to be done," CTO Tenbrink continues.

"The visualization is user-friendly, intuitive and fun. It's also approachable for users who are not used to using computer tools," says BiogazN customer Thierry CAVENNE. The asynchronous access allows several people to have access to the visualization system at the same time, allowing several people to work on the plant in parallel.

EnviTec Remote naturally offers the highest security standards. "A high level of availability is ensured by the more than 100 dial-in servers. All servers follow the ISO 27001 standard prescribed throughout Europe and are constantly monitored," says Schürmann. An event log provides meticulous information about who was on the corresponding system and when. "Above all, the app enables the operator to run the plant smoothly and save an enormous amount of time," says Schürmann - the intuitively designed visualization system supports operators in their daily work and helps them quickly find the cause of the error in the event of unclear operating conditions - a win-win situation for EnviTec and its customers!
