STOCKHOLM, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Swedish enterprise software maker IFS said on Tuesday it had appointed Mark Moffat as its new chief executive officer with immediate effect after its current CEO Darren Roos takes over the role as chairman of the company's board.

IFS is backed by investors such as EQT, Hg and TA Associates, and the company was valued at over $10 billion in a stake sale in 2022.

Jonas Persson, a nominee of EQT and the chairman of IFS since 2018, will leave his position. Moffat comes from a position as IFS's chief customer officer. (Reporting by Supantha Mukherjee in Stockholm and Amy-Jo Crowley in London, editing by Stine Jacobsen)
