Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors filed a motion in the US Bankruptcy Court seeking the conversion of Erin Energy Corporation bankruptcy case from Chapter 11 reorganization to Chapter 7 liquidation on June 27, 2018. As per the motion, there is continuing loss to the estate and the debtor does not have a reasonable likelihood of rehabilitation. The are plenty of reasons to convert this case to chapter 7, like debtors have virtually no cash, debtor previous motion for the use of cash collateral was denied, debtor have not generated any revenue since the fall of 2017. Therefore, the committee respectfully requests that this Court enter an order converting these chapter 11 cases to chapter 7 liquidation.
