Evans Bancorp, Inc. announced that Lee C. Wortham has been elected to serve as its next Chairman, effective April 1, 2018, and Oliver H. Sommer was selected to serve as Vice
Chair. Mr. Wortham has been a director of the company since 2011 and has held the position of Vice Chairman since April 2012. He is a Partner in Barrantys LLC, where he manages key client relationships focused on developing and implementing investment, estate and tax planning strategies. Mr. Wortham replaces current Board Chairman, John R. O’Brien, who previously announced his retirement effective March 31, 2018. Mr. O’Brien has served as Chair since April 2012. Oliver H. Sommer was elected to the Board of Directors in April 2017 and will be replacing Mr. Wortham as Vice Chairman.

The banking activities segment includes both commercial and consumer banking services, including a range of lending and depository services, as well as offering non-deposit investment products, such as annuities and mutual funds.
