The Woodlands, Texas - Excelerate Energy, Inc. (NYSE: EE) ("Excelerate" or "Company"), market leader in flexible and innovative liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions, introduces Alexandre Cerqueira as General Manager for the Company in Brazil. Cerqueira joins the team to lead the expansion of the business and strengthen the company's commitment to the country in offering cleaner energy, in a reliable and affordable way.
Cerqueira has an extensive experience of over 30 years in the Energy and Corporate Banking sectors, and he has worked at large organizations such as BankBoston, Citibank and Shell, including roles in Finance Management, Corporate Governance, New Business Development and Commercial. It is worth mentioning his performances as chairman of the Executive Committee for Natural Gas of the Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo - IBP, as well as Executive Director and Member of the Board of joint ventures and holdings in Brazil and Bolivia, such as Comgás, TBG and GTB - Gás Transboliviano.
A graduate in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from PUC-Rio, Cerqueira also holds an MBA in Energy Economics from the Universidade Federal Rio de Janeiro. He also completed several courses on leadership of multidisciplinary teams and financial management at renowned international institutions such as Harvard Business School (USA), Wharton Business School (USA), and Amsterdam Institute of Finance (Netherlands).
