Item 7.01 - Regulation FD Disclosure
On February 27, 2023, Cash Converters International Limited (ASX: CCV) ("Cash
Converters") filed its semi-annual financial results with the Australian Stock
Exchange for the half-year ended December 31, 2022. In its report, Cash
Converters recognized a one-time, non-cash impairment expense of AUD$110.5
million against goodwill. The impairment recognized by Cash Converters is a
result of legislative changes in the form of the Financial Sector Reform Bill
2022, passed by the Australian Federal Parliament in December 2022, relating in
part to regulation of small amount credit contracts. EZCORP owns 43.7% of Cash
Converters and is assessing the impact of Cash Converters' impairment on
EZCORP's earnings for the current period, including the tax and foreign currency
exchange impacts.
