Fertilizantes Heringer S.A. Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2022

Fertilizantes Heringer S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 1,081.56 million compared to BRL 568.62 million a year ago. Net loss was BRL 94.67 million compared to net income of BRL 144.73 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 1.7578 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of BRL 2.6873 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was BRL 2,314.57 million compared to BRL 1,309.92 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 33.7 million compared to BRL 137.27 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.6256 compared to BRL 2.5488 a year ago.
Fertilizantes Heringer SA is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the production, marketing and distribution of fertilizers under the Heringer brand name. The Company organizes its business into two segments: Industrial, which constists of sulfuric acid and single super phosphate (SSP) production plant, and Mixing Plants segment, which includes fertilizer mixing industrial units. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 19 fertilizer mixing plants. The Companyâs products are used in the crop production sector, including farming of cane, soybeans, corn and coffee, among others. Through its subsidiary Logfert Transportes SA, the Company is also involved in the road transport operations. On January 4, 2012, it acquired Maxifertil Fertilizantes Ltda, located in the municipality of Porto Alegre. On June 29, 2012, the Company completed the operation of merger by incorporation of its subsidiary Maxifertil Fertilizantes Ltda.
