4Q16 and FY2016 Earnings
Viana, Brazil, March 3, 2017 - Fertilizantes Heringer (BM&FBOVESPA: FHER3)announces today its results for the fourth quarter and full yerar of 2016 (4Q16 and 2016).
Periods Highlights:
Delivery volume totaled 4.3 million metric tons of fertilizers in 2016, with 1.2 million metric tons being delivered in 4Q16, 6.7% lower than the 1.3 million metric tons in 4Q15;
Record volume of specialty products deliveries in 2016, totaling 2.1 million metric tons compared to 1.9 million metric in 2015. The increase in the volume of deliveries of specialty products reached 16.1% in 4Q16 and 11.4% in 2016. As a result, their share of the Company's portfolio increased from 39% to 49% between 4Q15 and 4Q16 and from 38% to 49% between 2015 and 2016;
Net revenue came to R$5.2 billion in 2016, 17.7% lower than in 2015. In 4Q16, net revenue totaled R$1.3 billion, 20.1% down on the same period last year;
EBITDA stood at R$249.6 million in 2016, 25.9% higher than the R$198.2 million recorded in 2015. In 4Q16, EBITDA reached R$138.0 million (margin of 10.1%), 45.3% up on the R$94.9 million (margin of 5.5%) reported in 4Q15;
Net income totaled R$43.2 million (ROE of 14.9%) in 2016, compared to the R$335.9 million net loss recorded in 2015. In 4Q16, Heringer posted net income of R$52.4 million, down 2.5% compared to the R$53.8 million net income recorded in 4Q15.

Fertilizantes Heringer SA is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the production, marketing and distribution of fertilizers under the Heringer brand name. The Company organizes its business into two segments: Industrial, which constists of sulfuric acid and single super phosphate (SSP) production plant, and Mixing Plants segment, which includes fertilizer mixing industrial units. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 19 fertilizer mixing plants. The Companyâs products are used in the crop production sector, including farming of cane, soybeans, corn and coffee, among others. Through its subsidiary Logfert Transportes SA, the Company is also involved in the road transport operations. On January 4, 2012, it acquired Maxifertil Fertilizantes Ltda, located in the municipality of Porto Alegre. On June 29, 2012, the Company completed the operation of merger by incorporation of its subsidiary Maxifertil Fertilizantes Ltda.
