The Board of Directors of the Telepizza Group approves the appointment of Esther Berrozpe Galindo as independent director

Madrid, Thursday, 29 November 2018. - The Telepizza Group has announced the appointment of Ms Esther Berrozpe Galindo to the Board of Directors as independent director, following the approval of her appointment in the meeting held this day. The appointment, which will be effective in January 2019, will have to be ratified at the next General Shareholders' Meeting.

Esther Berrozpe joined Whirlpool in 2000 and she was named President for Europe, Middle East and Africa and Executive Vice President of the Group in 2013, positions that she held until 2018. During her long career at Whirlpool, Esther led different business units in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, driving Whirlpool's turnaround in these regions. In her most recent position, she was responsible for a $5 billion business, 24,000 employees, 15 industrial centres, commercial operations in more than 35 countries and distribution to 140 markets. During the last four years and following the acquisition of Indesit Company by Whirlpool Corporation in 2014, she also led a process of integration and transformation.

The new independent director of the Telepizza Group has a long and consolidated international trajectory of more than two decades in the consumer goods sector and has successfully developed and transformed businesses generating great value through the achievement of results.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto in San Sebastián, before joining Whirlpool, Esther Berrozpe worked at Paglieri, Sara Lee and Wella Group in Italy and Spain.
