Fortress Global Enterprises Inc. reported earnings and production results for the fourth quarter of 2017. For the quarter, operating EBITDA loss from continuing operations was $5.7 million compared to $1.6 million in the previous quarter and operating EBITDA from continuing operations was $4.8 million in the prior year comparative period. The Dissolving Pulp Segment generated operating EBITDA loss of $4.4 million and corporate costs were $1.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2017. Sales from continuing operations were $29.6 million compared to $41.1 million in the previous quarter. Net loss from continuing operations were $11.8 million compared to $6.6 million in the previous quarter.

For the quarter, pulp shipments was 24,798 ADMT compared to 30,962 ADMT in the previous quarter.

During the first quarter of 2018, the company will implement the recommended solutions during a two day planned shutdown for the purpose of completing the connections of the fifth digester, which is expected to result in an incremental annual production capacity increase of 8,500 ADMT in 2018 and 17,000 ADMT in 2019 compared to current production capacity.
