IN 1H2022 TURNOVER RECORDED A DECISIVE GROWTH: +24% COMPARED TO THE

FIRST HALF OF 2021

  • Total revenues as of June 30 2022: EUR 41.5 million compared to EUR 33.4 million at June 30, 2021 (+24%), thanks to the significant increase in sales in Italy, the United States and the Middle East;1
  • Italy: Revenues up 32% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 19.4 milion equal to 47% of total revenues;
  • USA: Sales in the first half of 2022 increased by 35% compared to the same period of 2021 and amounted to EUR 4.2 million equal to 10% of total sales for the period.
  • Middle East: Great surge in sales at June 30, 2022, reaching EUR 6.8 million, growing by 273% compared to EUR 1.8 million achieved in the same period last year.
  • Significant increase in sales of Statuario, which ammounted to EUR 13.3 million in the first half of 2022, growing by 63% compared to the same period of the previous year, thus reaching 32% of total sales.
  • The extract of the first 2021 sustainability report has been published.

Carrara, July 28, 2022 - Franchi Umberto Marmi S.p.A., leading international company in the processing and trading of Carrara marble, listed on Euronext Growth Milan (Ticker: FUM) (the "Company") announces that total revenues as of June 30, 2022 amounted to EUR 41.5 million, with an increase of 24%, compared to the same period of the previous year, with a significant increase in sales in Italy, the Middle East and the United States.

In particular, as of June 30, 2022 sales in Italy grew by 32% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 19.4 million equal to 47% of total sales for the period.

Noteworthy is the strong surge in sales achieved in the Middle East, which reached EUR 6.8 million in the first half of 2022, with an increase of 273% over the same period of 2021, representing over 16% of total sales for the period.

Sales in the United States, as of June 30, 2022 recorded a significant growth equal to 35% compared to the first half of 2021, reaching EUR 4.2 million; in China the result achieved in the first half of 2022 is relevant, with sales equal to EUR 8.0 million, substantially confirming the values achieved in the same period of last year.

The increase in sales on the domestic market and especially on international markets confirm the solidity and worth of the Company's commercial strategy focused on the presence in international markets and on high value products of Carrara Marble such as Calacatta and Statuario.

In the first half of 2022, Statuario showed exceptional performance, reaching sales equal to EUR

  1. million, growing by 63% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the first half of 2022 Calacatta recorded an increase of 11% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR
  1. million in revenues. Overall, Statuario and Calacatta contributed over 59% of total sales achieved in the first half of 2022.

Lastly, in line with the Company's growth strategy and consistent with its commitment to embrace ESG impact objectives, the first 2021 sustainability report was completed, an extract of which is already available on the website at the link https://www.fum.it/en/sustainability-report/, awaiting the official certification entrusted to DNV which will be completed over the next few weeks.
